Traffic is intense at some of the border checkpoints (BCPs) with Romania, Greece, Serbia and Turkey, reported the General Directorate of Border Police. The data is as of 6:00 p.m., BTA reported.

On the border with Romania, the traffic is intense at the border points “Vidin”, “Kardam”, “Durankulak”, “Oryahovo”, “Nikopol” and “Ruse” at the exit for all cars. Due to major repairs on the Bulgarian section On the Danube bridge near Ruse, a temporary organization of traffic has been introduced, with traffic being carried out in one lane with a pass mode and regulated by traffic lights. In addition to the “Ruse” checkpoint, drivers can also go to the “Silistra” border crossing points. ‘, ”Kardam”, ”Durankulak”, ”Kainardza” and ”Krushari”. The last two are open from 08:00 to 20:00 every day, during trucks are missed.

On the border with Greece, the traffic is intense for passenger cars at the “Kulata”, “Ilinden” and “Makaza” border points.

In connection with the significantly increased crossings of Romanian tourists traveling to and from Greece through the “Kulata” and “Makaza” border crossing points, the “Border Police” recommend the use of alternative checkpoints on the Bulgarian-Greek border, which are lower workload and allow faster passage.

Tourists traveling to resorts in the area of ​​Thessaloniki, Kavala and the Halkidiki peninsula can pass through the Ilinden checkpoint as an alternative to the Kulata checkpoint. Tourists traveling to resorts in the area of ​​Xanthi, Komotini and o. Thassos, can use the “Zlatograd” checkpoint as an alternative to the “Makaza” checkpoint. For resorts in the area of ​​Alexandroupolis, it is recommended to pass through the “Captain Petko Voivoda” checkpoint. Only cars and vans are allowed to pass through the Makaza, Zlatograd and Ivaylovgrad border crossing points.

On the border with Serbia, the traffic is intense for cars in both directions at the “Kalotina” checkpoint.

On the border with the Republic of North Macedonia, traffic is normal at all border checkpoints. Certain difficulties are possible when passing through the Gueshevo border crossing due to the implementation of activities under a contract related to the construction of the EU Entry/Exit System.

On the border with Turkey, traffic is intense in both directions at the “Captain Ansdreevo” and “Lesovo” border crossing points.
