The traffic pressure has increased in the capital city of Dhaka. Along with that, traffic congestion has also been noticed in some places. In the past few days, when traffic jams and chaos were created on the traffic-free roads, the students of the country came forward. They take responsibility for traffic. Burned by the sun, wet by the rain, the city residents thanked them for this work. This restores order in the streets. However, since Monday, the traffic police has returned to work, and the students’ suffering has eased.
On Monday (August 12), policemen joined the capital’s traffic control. After about a week they joined the traffic control of the capital. Students were also with them. They cooperated with the traffic police.
On this day, it was seen that the pressure of vehicles on the road increased on Monday compared to the last few days. However, the drivers followed the rules and drove according to the lane. The people of the city say that this is great. The traffic congestion in the capital has increased since yesterday Sunday. Even today, there is traffic jam in several places.
Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) Additional Commissioner of Police Md. Munibur Rahman said, there was a fall in rhythm. Traffic police members have joined the work again today. All are expected to join by this week.
He said, today is an ice breaking. Members of the traffic police have descended on different places of the capital. Among them, 15 places in Mirpur, 9 places in Gulshan, 5 places in Uttara are controlling the traffic police.
Munibur Rahman hopes that the traffic police will be able to start working in the capital within this week.
Meanwhile, policemen shoulder to shoulder with the students are working to control the traffic on the road. When the traffic policemen entered the streets, they were greeted with hugs by the students. The policemen were seen providing various food items including rosary flowers, biscuits, water to the students. These pictures are circulating on social media.
It can be seen on the surface, there is a lot of traffic in the capital’s Mirpur, Agargaon, Odojahaj Crossing, Vijay Sarani Signal, Tejgaon, Satrasta, Minto Road, entire Ramnar Oligli, Kakrail, Matsya Bhavan area, Press Club, Paltan, Nightingale Mor.
According to the drivers and locals, the traffic policemen are relieved to return to the road. But the sooner the trust of the police returns to the common people, the better it will bring to all. As there was no traffic police earlier, the way the students played the role of traffic on the road was also a very good initiative. They also said that they want peace in the country, not riots and violence.
CNG driver Rahman Mia said, I am very happy with the way the students have taken control of the road without eating. If not, the traffic jam in Dhaka would have been a serious situation.
