Traffic restrictions imposed in Nedumangad for Navakerala Sadas event
In preparation for the Navakerala Sadas event, the police in Nedumangad have announced the imposition of traffic restrictions in the city limits starting from 4 pm today.
According to the police, two-wheelers should be parked at Girls Higher Secondary School Ground and Boys UP School Ground, while four-wheelers up to mini-buses can be parked at Kallingal Ground and large vehicles at International Market.
In addition, parking is strictly prohibited in the city center and on District Hospital Road, Girls School Road, and other inter roads. Vehicles, including KSRTC buses, coming from Thiruvananthapuram and traveling to Aryanadu and Vellanadu, have been advised to take an alternate route via Hospital Junction – Chantamuk – Kulavikonam. Similarly, vehicles traveling from Nedumangad KSRTC stand to Vitura, Palot, and Puthan Palam sections should reach Pazhakutty via Surya Road – Kulavikonam – Children’s Palace and enter the main road.
The main stage for the event has been set up in the municipal parking yard near the girls’ school, where the chief minister and 20 ministers are scheduled to arrive. Fifteen counters have been set up near the main stage to accept complaints and applications from 2 p.m. onwards.
The construction of a huge pandal, covering an area of 20,000 sq. yards, for the event is in its final stages. Security inspections conducted by police and other agencies have also been completed to ensure the safety of all participants and attendees at the event.
