Traffic reveals its plan for the month of Muharram and announces the issuance of directives from higher authorities

The General Traffic Directorate revealed, today, Friday, its plan for the month of Muharram, while announcing the issuance of directives from higher authorities.

The Director of the Public Relations and Media Department at the General Traffic Directorate, Lieutenant Colonel Mohammed Ali Al-Hassoun, told the (INA): “Under the directives of the Minister of Interior, Abdul Amir Al-Shammari, and the Undersecretary of the Ministry for Police Affairs, and under the direct supervision of the Director General, Major General Raad Mahdi Abdul Sahib, there is a high level of joint coordination with the security services and leaderships in Baghdad and the governorates that witness delegations of visitors, whether in Baghdad, Karbala, Najaf, and the rest of the governorates, in order to ensure the smooth flow of traffic.”
Al-Hassoun added, “The General Traffic Directorate will deploy traffic squads on main roads, intersections and squares according to the directives issued by higher authorities,” indicating that “there is an emphasis on helping citizens, and that the traffic personnel should perform optimally and deal in a good and optimal manner with visitors.”
He stressed that “there are directives and recommendations from the General Traffic Directorate to provide the best service to the citizen, and to ensure smooth traffic movement during the month of Muharram, and to provide everything required to open the roads and vehicles in Baghdad and the governorates that witness a large turnout of visitors.”
