During the reconstruction works, it is planned to install a new 330/13.8 kilovolt (kV) transformer at Riga HES. As the transformer socket is located on the bridge of Riga HES, it is necessary to close the traffic in this section during the works.
Road users will have to use the South Bridge or the Ķeguma HES Bridge to get around.
Access to the residents of Dole Island and Zirņu Island will be ensured by coordinating movement with traffic regulators. Residents of Dole Island can get there from the Daugava left bank circle by informing the traffic regulator. On the other hand, the residents of Zirņu sala will have access from the circle of the right bank of the Daugava.
The transformer for Riga HES is supplied by SIA “Quickport”, traffic regulation in Salaspils and Ķekava roundabouts is provided by SIA “Latvijas energoceltnieks”. Traffic restrictions and changes have been coordinated by VAS “Latvijas valsts ceļi”, and placement of warning signs and restriction schemes of the planned changes will also be ensured.
It has already been reported that the turnover of the “Latvenergo” concern last year was 2.034 billion euros, which is 10.4% more than the year before, while the profit of the concern increased by 90.8% and was 350.917 million euros.
“Latvenergo” is engaged in the production and trade of electricity and thermal energy, as well as natural gas trade and provision of electricity distribution services. “Latvenergo” bonds are listed on the debt securities list of “Nasdaq Riga” stock exchange.
