MONTESILVANO. Tragedy at sea this morning (Sunday 20 June) in Montesilvano. A 66-year-old doctor, Paolo Piscione, drowned, probably due to an illness while engaged in diving.
The event happened around 9.40 am between the La Racchetta and Tamanaco di Montesilvano factories, at the height of the large hotels. The 118 ambulance and the coroner arrived on the spot, but unfortunately for the 66-year-old doctor there was nothing to do. Attempts to revive him were useless. The carabinieri of the mobile radio rate and the personnel of the Port Authority are also on site. The traffic police are currently taking care of the road system. (c.co.)
