Baruch Dayan the truth: From Bnei Brak comes the sad news this morning of the death of the late Rabbi Shmuel Mordechai Metzger, one of the leaders of the Gor Hasidim in Bnei Brak, after he fell ill with a serious illness and he was 39 years old at the time of his death.

The late deceased grew up in the house of his father, Yablchata Rabbi Avraham Zvi Metzger, who was the rabbi of the Nar Yisrael youth yeshiva and the head of the sages’ students in the Gur Hasidic courtyard.

After his studies at the Gur Yeshiva, he married his wife Shethai’, the daughter of Rabbi Moshe Guterman Shivlahta.

He was a man of a noble soul and of special qualities, who repaid kindness with his body and with his money, his joy was always on his face, he brightened the face of every person, the Torah was the center of his life, and he raised his children to the Torah and God-fearing, he was a devotee of the Jewish Law in the Admor of the residence of Shlita.

Even during his illness, he did not lose the joy of his life, and continued to come despite his weakness to the Shtibel of Gor Strasser in Bnei Brak and set times for Torah.

His funeral will be held this morning (Friday, the eve of Holy Shabbat, Parsha Shofitim) at 10:00 AM from his home on 2 Ibn Gvirol St. through Beit Hasidim Gor on Strasser St. 5 and at 1:00 PM from Beit Midrash Gor on Yeremiahu St.

They sit on Shabbat on Motzash at his parents’ house, 6 Shari Israel Street, entrance A and from Sunday at his house
