Islamabad:
A van carrying passengers left Rahim Khan Yar district of Pakistan’s Punjab province. The van was traveling at high speed on the expressway in Ruganpur area there, when suddenly the van’s tire burst.
The van lost control and overturned in the middle of the road. Then the car coming behind collided with the van. Subsequently, the jeep which was coming behind hit the van and crashed. These successive accidents caused great excitement.
On being informed, the police and firemen rushed to the spot and started intensive rescue operations.
13 people including women and children were crushed to death in this tragic accident. 20 others were injured. Rescuers rescued them and admitted them to nearby hospitals for treatment. They are receiving intensive care there.
It is noteworthy that such road accidents are becoming a frequent story in Pakistan due to bad roads and carelessness of drivers.
