Nine people were taken to hospitals with life-threatening injuries in the crash in the US state of Michigan.
Two young brothers died in the US when a driver drove their car into a boat club on Lake Erie in the US state of Michigan where a children’s birthday party was being celebrated. The eight-year-old and her five-year-old brother died at the scene of the accident, as reported by several US media on Sunday (local time), citing the police.
Nine people were taken to hospitals with life-threatening injuries, including three children. Helicopters were also used. The driver of the car, 66 years old, was arrested. She has been charged with driving under the influence of alcohol. The vehicle drove a good 7.5 meters into the building before stopping.
First responders described the scenes at the scene as “extremely chaotic, with a high level of emotion.” It was not clear at first how many people were in the boat club on Lake Erie, about 50 kilometers south of Detroit in the state of Michigan. The accident happened on Saturday evening.
