Tragic Death of “Wild ‘N Out” Star Jacky Oh Linked to Complications from Cosmetic Surgery

Jacky Oh, the beloved star of the hit show “Wild ‘N Out” and longtime partner of co-star DC Young Fly, passed away due to complications from cosmetic surgery, according to the Miami-Dade County Medical Examiner’s report. The report, obtained by Page Six, ruled her death as an accident.

The report reveals that Oh, whose legal name was Jacklyn Smith, had undergone a gluteal augmentation procedure on May 30. The surgery was reportedly successful without any complications. However, previous reports had suggested that Oh had also undergone a “mommy makeover” surgery in Miami.

Following the procedure, Oh was prescribed medications including Ciprofloxacin (antibiotic), Oxycodone (painkiller), and Ondansetron (anti-nausea). However, she started experiencing a relentless headache and sought advice from a nurse who recommended taking ibuprofen and discontinuing the use of Ondansetron.

On May 31, Oh began to feel her head burning and had difficulty speaking. Her aunt called emergency services, but by the time they arrived, Oh had become unresponsive. She was pronounced dead at the hospital. The autopsy revealed swelling in her brain and excessive bleeding of the skin around her torso.

Oh, who was only 33 years old, leaves behind three children named Nova, Nala, and Prince. The tragic news of her passing was confirmed by “Wild ‘N Out” in an Instagram statement on June 1.

“We are deeply saddened by the passing of Jacklyn Smith, known to the world as Jacky Oh, a talented Wild N’ Out family member whose impact will be forever treasured and missed,” the statement read. “Jacky Oh was a loving friend and beloved colleague of the Wild N’ Out cast throughout five seasons. More importantly, she was a tremendous mother to three beautiful children.”

The BET Media Group extended their sincere condolences to the Smith family, DC Young Fly, B Simone, Nick Cannon, and all the friends who loved and cared for Jacky Oh.
