Mounir Nasraoui, the father of international player F.C. Barcelona Lamine Yamal, was stabbed in a parking lot in the Rocafonda neighborhood of Mataró, Barcelona, sources close to the investigation revealed to EFE.
Nasraoui suffered a knife attack and was taken to Germans Trias Pujol University Hospital, with injuries of varying severity.
Authorities have taken charge of the investigation into this attack on the father of the azulgrana player, which reportedly involved several individuals, and have already made several arrests in connection with this incident.
According to testimonies from some neighbors in the area cited by the newspaper La Vanguardia, Yamal’s father was confronted by some individuals while walking his dog.
This incident, according to those sources, later escalated into a fight, during which Mounir Nasraoui was attacked with a knife.
The current state of Nasraoui’s health is still unknown.
