Tragic Suicide of KSRTC Conductor and Wife in Pathanapuram Linked to Financial Crisis

Vijesh (42) and his wife Raji (36) died at the home of KSRTC conductor Valakudi Meenamkot in Punalur depot. Vijesh was found hanging from a tree in Ayravillipara yesterday evening after Raji died of serious injuries after jumping in front of a van in Avanishwaram last night.

Last day, both of them had reached Ayravillipara on the border of Valakudi-Melila panchayats in Pathanapuram and tried to take their lives together. Raji, distraught after seeing Vijesh’s death, reached Avaneeswaram and jumped in front of the van. He was rushed to the Punalur Taluk Hospital but died. Vijesh’s body was found yesterday after the investigation. Children: Akshay and Akshara. The relatives of Vijesh and his wife called for a mysterious death and demanded an investigation.
