Deadly Thanksgiving Day fire in Ohio claims the lives of five people

ATHENS COUNTY, Ohio (WSYX) — Tragedy struck the Athens County community on Thanksgiving Day as a deadly fire claimed the lives of five people. The Ohio Department of Commerce has provided more information about the devastating incident that occurred in the rural area of Ohio.

Local fire departments swiftly responded to the fire on Thanksgiving Day in Athens County, only to be met with a heartbreaking scene. Two mobile homes and one other outbuilding were engulfed by the fire upon the fire department’s arrival.
