Horror lover? Paramount Pluslaunched the trailer and official poster of ‘Apartment 7A‘, the prequel to ‘Rosemary’s Baby’‘ which will star Julia Garner.

This Thursday, August 29, through the official accounts of the streaming service, Paramount Plus, the official trailer and poster of the prequel to ‘Rosemary’s Baby’, ‘Apartment 7A’ was released.

According to the 2:32 minute trailer, this film is set before the events of the original 1968 film directed by Roman Polanski, and based on the novel of the same name by Ira Levin, which became a true cult film and an icon of horror cinema of all time.

That is to say, Apartment 7A’s main intention is to tell what happened in the Bramford building in New York, years before the arrival of Rosemary Woodhouse (Mia Farrow) and Guy Woodhouse (John Cassavetes).

However, the star of this installment will be Emmy winner Julia Garner as Terry Gionoffrio, who has hopes and dreams of making it big in the Big Apple as a dancer.

Her dreams are cut short by a crippling injury, but she meets an older couple who promise her a shot at fame, and they even invite her to stay with them in their gorgeous apartment.

After her stay, she meets a Broadway producer who promises to make her a star. However, one morning she wakes up with no memory of what happened the night before, which makes her wonder if there is something sinister in the building.

When is ‘Apartment 7A’ released?

The prequel, which hits Paramount+ screens on September 27, will maintain a dark tone and an adult rating, mainly due to its explicit violence and substance use content.

Who’s in the cast?

In addition to Garner, Apartment 7A stars Academy Award winner Dianne Wiest (Edward Edward Scissorhands), Jim Sturgess (Cloud Atlas) and Kevin McNally (Pirates of the Caribbean). The cast also includes Marli Siu (All I Know About Love), Andrew Buchan (All the Money in the World), Rosy McEwen (Blue Jean) and Kobna Holdbrook-Smith (Wonka).

Behind the scenes, the Rosemary’s Baby prequel was directed by Natalie Erika James (Relic), while the producing team also includes figures such as John Krasinski, Michael Bay and Brad Fuller.
