Brutal and bloody! They release the first trailer of ‘Ballerina‘, he spin-off of ‘John Wick‘which will star Ana de Armas.

This Thursday, through the social networks of the Canadian-American film production company, Lionsgate, the first trailer for “Ballerina” was released, the world’s first spin-off of the retired hitman, John Wick, which will be starring the Cuban-Spanish Ana de Armas.

In the 2:24 min clip, which begins showing a music box that plays “For Elisa” by Beethoven, while a dancer’s doll spins on itself until the device’s string runs out, a little girl can be seen holding said musical box.

In another scene, said little girl, who is orphaned, becomes a ballet dancer, but not just any one, but a bloodthirsty one, who has to carry out a resounding revenge against the murderers of her family.

What has surprised about this character is that it will be Ana de Armas who gives life to the dancer that we saw in John Wick 3: Parabellum when Keanu Reeves’ character seeks the help of the Director (Anjelica Huston), but, unfortunately, the Helping Baba Yaga caused the Ruska Roma ballet to suffer a brutal assault by the forces of the High Table.

Eve, the name of the dancer played by Unity Phelan in 2019 and now played by Ana de Armas, survives the attack, but her “family” does not, so she will begin a savage revenge against those who took her loved ones away from her.

When will the spin-off premiere and who is the cast?

The film is directed by Len Wiseman, written by Shay Hatten, in addition to Ana de Armas, the cast includes Norman Reedus, Anjelica Huston, Ian McShane, Keanu ReevesCatalina Sandino Moreno, Lance Reddick, Gabriel Byrne, Anne Parillaud, Abraham Popoola, Caleb Spillyards, Marc Cram, David Castaneda y Sharon Duncan-Brewster.

And although some are already eager to see this project, the film is directed by Len Wiseman and written by Shay Hatten, but Chad Stahelski, co-creator of the saga, has been very attentive to the project so that it fits perfectly between John Wick 3: Parabellum and John Wick 4.

The film would have been released this year, but Lionsgate delayed it until next summer, so we will have to wait for Ballerina to prove that John Wick is not the only one to be afraid of.
