Trains Cancelled between Gothenburg and Strömstad after Accident

Gothenburg, Sweden – The west trains that run between Gothenburg and Strömstad were canceled on Wednesday evening due to an accident. Passengers were informed that they had to remain on the train until the stop was completed for security reasons. They were later moved to a replacement bus.

According to reports, the accident occurred near Lillhagen in northern Hisingen. The incident not only affected the trains to Strömstad but also the trains to Alingsås. The vehicles that were supposed to continue on to Alingsås had to be replaced by buses.

Lars Jönsson, the communicator at Västtrafik, has advised travelers to stay updated with the traffic information provided on Västtrafik’s website and app. The incident caused delays and inconvenience for commuters relying on the train service.
