Tirupur : The Forest Department is promoting agroforestry program in urban areas and urban villages under the Tamil Nadu Biodiversity Conservation and Greening Scheme.
Also, various types of trees suitable for the soil are also provided to promote tree cultivation. On behalf of the Forest Extension Center in Tarapuram Alangiyam, training for farmers and forest workers is to be provided at Chevvantapalayam area today, at 10:00 am.
Deputy Conservator of Forests, Coimbatore Forest Genetics Division, District Forest Officer etc. will participate in this and provide various advice.
Also, Coimbatore Research and Development Forestry Officer is going to provide practical training. In this, ideas related to successful tree cultivation, seeing income from income-producing trees at specific intervals, etc. are also provided.
