The training camp in Baku had a positive impact on my preparation for the World Cup in trampoline and tumbling.

American gymnast Alexey Shostak, performing at the World Cup in Baku in the trampoline program, told Trend about this on Friday, Day.Az reports.

“At home and here in Baku, I trained a lot to perform well in competitions. Separately from my team, I had a training camp in Baku, which had a positive effect on my preparation. I’m glad that I had this opportunity,” the athlete said.

Shostak emphasized that this is his fifth visit to Baku, and the organization of the competition, as always, is impeccable. “I like everything about Baku,” he added.

The athlete also noted the good level of preparation of all World Cup participants.

Let us remind you that the World Cup in trampoline and tumbling will be held at the National Gymnastics Arena in Baku on February 23-25. 300 gymnasts from 32 countries take part in the competition.

The World Cup in Baku serves as a qualifier for the 2024 Olympic Games for individual trampoline gymnasts.

In the trampolining competition among women, Azerbaijan is represented by Seljan Mahsudova, among men by Huseyn Abbasov, Nijat Mirzayev and Mehdi Aliyev.

The country is represented in acrobatic jumping competitions by Mikhail Malkin, Adil Hajizadeh, Tofig Aliyev, and Bilal Gurbanov.
