Training on Other Financial Corporations (OFC) reporting has been organized by Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) PLC.

The training was held in two sessions for three days from March 3 to 5 at the CSE office in Chittagong. CSE organized this training under the guidance of Bangladesh Securities and Exchange Commission (BSEC) and in cooperation with Bangladesh Bank.

This information has been informed in a press release sent by CSE.

According to the notification, about 120 officers of CSE track holders actively participated in the training. CSE has been regularly organizing training of report preparers for its treks and related stakes.

Bangladesh Bank’s OFC Survey Unit, Joint Director of Statistics Department Taslima Akhtar, Assistant Director Md. Abdus Salam and Assistant Director Sultana Razia.

On behalf of CSE, CSE Managing Director M. Saifur Rahman Majumder, Chief Regulatory Officer (CRO) Mohammad Mahadi Hasan, General Manager and Head of Business Development and Marketing Md. Ghulam Farooq, Trek Services Manager Adnan Abdur Rakib and other officials.

The whole program was conducted by M Sadek Ahmed, Head of Training and Awareness Department of CSE. In his welcome speech, Chief Regulatory Officer (CRO) Mohammad Mahadi Hasan said that such training is very necessary for all the stakeholders involved to work together through proper coordination for the improvement of the capital market. He hoped that such training would play an important role in making the relationship between users and service providers more effective and fruitful.

Taslima Akhter, one of the resource persons of the training, joint director of Bangladesh Bank, said that although this reporting process has started a long time ago. But in some cases its purpose is not fully realized due to different views and understanding. Therefore, this arrangement, a joint initiative of Bangladesh Bank, BSEC and CSE, is expected to facilitate the preparation and delivery of proper reports for all participants and help in filling those deficiencies.

In the closing speech, Managing Director of CSE M Saifur Rahman Majumdar said that we who work in the capital market always have to change and improve ourselves with new changes. We always have to be involved with the regulatory framework or various reporting or other related matters. However, such trainings play an important role in preparing ourselves effectively and quickly with any new changes, enhancements or modifications. CSE always plays a special role in organizing detailed training or workshops on capacity building or any new product.
