There are things that could turn into a humanitarian catastrophe if left untreated. More than 100,000 refugees arrived in Moldova. There is no need to wait for a humanitarian catastrophe. We are organized to take care of those who are unable to take care of themselves, we have an old Chabad seat, with 50 Holocaust survivors, and 120 orphans in Chabad institutions. We prepared and pre-arranged for 30 tons of food, and tons of water. We organized and we can feed the children and Holocaust survivors. “
He added: “Already now I see the pace that the food is running out for us and the 8,000 adults and children who live in Odessa and want to send them Ural and water because we have not organized and the shelves are empty. I am speaking on behalf of 32 large cities in Ukraine with 180 Chabad emissaries. All rabbis face a shortage of food. The pharmacies are closed and those that are open do not have minimal medication, a humanitarian catastrophe is about to occur here in 10-7 days. Today, Chabad rabbis in all cities need to receive money, not tomorrow, the day after tomorrow, so it will not help because there will be no food. We should not wait for the situation to become more difficult. “
In a strangled voice, Rabbi Wolf concluded: “A rabbi wrote to me that” there are children here who have no food. ” Transfer money to us now so we can purchase food and medicine. We took out dozens of buses and hundreds of Jewish families. It is not only the Chabad of Ukraine, but also the Chabad of Moldova. We are all recruited and work together.
