CHENNAI: The DGP has ordered 34 policemen working in various districts like Virudhunagar and Tuticorin to be transferred to ‘Q Division’.
It is the duty of the ‘Q Division’ police to know in advance the day-to-day operations and conspiracy plans of the naxal outfits, terrorist support organizations in Tamil Nadu and inform the higher authorities. If they remain indifferent, anti-social forces and terrorists will start showing their work.
In that regard, the government has decided to strengthen the all-important Q section. Accordingly, DGP Shailendrababu has ordered the transfer of 34 police officers and head constables working in various districts like Virudhunagar, Tuticorin, Salem and Tiruvallur to Q Division.
