The accused who killed a transgender woman and left her body in two pieces has been arrested. The police informed that the deceased is Zoya Kinner alias Mohsin, who has been missing since August 28. The incident took place in Indore, Madhya Pradesh.
A half-mutilated body was found in Scheme No. 134 area of Indore on Tuesday. Police were unable to identify the victim as the upper body was missing. When the police checked the nearby CCTV footage, they got footage of the body being thrown away.
Since the dead body was not very old, the police took the list of missing persons 3 days ago and started investigation. Zoya was identified by the relatives based on the chunni tied to the leg of the deceased. Further investigation led the police to the house of accused Noor Muhammad.
Police recovered the rest of the body from the accused’s house. This is how the case was unraveled. The accused, who had quarreled with his wife, got to know the transgender woman through social media. Zoya is invited to the house for a face-to-face meeting.
But when Noor Mohammad realized that Zoya was transgender, there was an argument between the two, and then Mohammad strangled Zoya to death. He then cut Zoya’s body in two, stuffed one piece in a sack and threw it in the bushes near the bypass. The other part was hidden in a box at home.
