BOLZANO. Second year students of Marcelline Linguistic High School in Bolzano they presented a 12 page dossier looked after by them hateful languagesthe maranza society and the trap musicpublished in the April issue of “Mosaic of Peace“.

This is a unique initiative of its kind at a national level. The president of the autonomous province was also present at the press conference Arno Kompatscher. To present the work, in addition to the school director, Alessandra Galeazzithere was the Italian teacher Francesco Comina together with the students of the second high school, the linguist Federico Faloppa (connected online from Raeding University in the United Kingdom), who took part in the work of the dossier and the director of “Mosaico di Pace”, Sicilian Rose.

It rarely happens that a class of high school students decides to come out and make a contribution to the understanding of problems and phenomena that affect their experiences and their lives. Usually it is adults who speak on behalf of young people and try to define and interpret their world, but the children of the second Marcelline Linguistic High School decided to open a broad and detailed discussion, made up of comparisons, debates and collective writing to bring the their voice in the broader debate and to try to say what they themselves experience first hand. The result was a complex work made up of words, images, sensations and writing, which then became a twelve-page dossier which is the central nucleus of the April issue of the national magazine “Mosaico di pace” published by Pax Christi.

The kids also interviewed the prof. Faloppa, who tried to understand whether the new trends of today’s youth world have elements of authenticity or whether they are the legacy of elements of a disruptive language already seen and experienced over the years.
