The 11th Vande Bharat train will run between Chennai Central and Coimbatore, to be inaugurated by Prime Minister Modi on the 8th of next month. The proposed timetable for the train was released yesterday. The train will depart from Coimbatore at 6:00 a.m. and reach Chennai Central at 12:10 p.m. every other day except Wednesday, covering 495 km in 6:10 hours. The train will only stop at Tirupur, Erode, and Salem, with a maximum speed of 80.31 kmph. The Southern Railway officials said that the schedule and details related to the new Vande Bharat train service between Chennai Central and Coimbatore will be announced soon. The travel time is reduced by one hour compared to other trains running on this route, initially driven at a speed of 80 kmph with a plan to further reduce the travel time. In the subbox, it is mentioned that the journey times for other trains are Coimbatore Express – 7:55 hrs, Cheran Express Train – 8:00 hrs, Nilgiris Express – 8.05 hrs, Coimbatore Intercity – 7:45 hrs, Coimbatore Shatabdi – 7.05 hrs.
