Intolerable delays that become nightmares. Canceled flights. And passengers without assistance. At the mercy of shameful situations. All with rates that cry out for vengeance. We must not generalise. Not all ferries are disgraceful. Not all airlines are inefficient. We know very well which ones don’t work. The problem is that they act with impunity. For every blow inflicted on good travel there is no sanction.
Everything is running smoothly in the most abject normality. Inconceivable. Ministerial inspectors should operate on ferries. To guarantee hygiene and care of passenger services. An emergency service should be active in airports in cases of flight cancellations. Families with children, the elderly, debilitated people, disabled people are left in disarray. Intolerable. In a civil and modern society. The Sardinia Region itself must take a stand. Passengers must be protected. An emergency response team must be set up. Maritime and air connections, in their most negative expressions, cannot continue to be a fatality that must be submitted to with resignation. Passengers must be given back their dignity.
