Thiruvananthapuram: Screenwriter and cultural activist John Paul, who is undergoing treatment for health problems, has been allotted Rs 2 lakh from the Chief Minister’s Disaster Relief Fund. John Paul has been in critical condition for more than two months following a series of health problems, including shortness of breath.

John Paul was admitted to Ernakulam Lisi Hospital by Industries Minister P.S. Rajeev visited. The minister said he had earlier discussed the matter of treatment with his daughter.

Sanumash had asked for medical help. The matter was discussed with the Chief Minister. He took a positive stance, Rajiv clarified.
