Trello and Jira work scheduling tools will replace Yaga

Rostelecom will develop the Yaga platform to replace the development tools of the Australian Atlassian – Trello, Jira and Confluence. This was told to Vedomosti by the vice-president for the development of information systems of the Russian company Darius Khalitov. Rostelecom does not disclose the amount that it allocates for the development of the solution.

Information about the company’s plans is also included in the New General System Software roadmap for the period up to 2030 (the document is at the disposal of Vedomosti). The document states that Rostelecom will be developing jointly with its subsidiary Rostelecom IT and the new solution should be ready by July 2024. More than 1 billion rubles are being allocated for the development of Rostelecom and Rostelecom IT. from own budget, indicated in the roadmap.

The development of the Yaga platform will be financed from Rostelecom’s own funds, the representative of the Ministry of Digital Development specified. The project is included in the roadmap at the suggestion of the competence center for the development of applied and system-wide software “Software Development Management”, noted in the department.
