The 32-year-old 311-liter bottle of whiskey was auctioned on May 25, 2022. That whiskey bottle is 5 feet 11 inches and has the capacity to fill 444 bottles.
It was bought by unidentified foreigners for 1. 1.1 million at an auction at the Lyon & Turnbull Auction Center in Edinburgh.
Many people around the world were eager to bid on this. Eventually the price of a tram was set at a base price of 92 euros and sold.
Daniel Monk of Fah Mai and Rosewin Holdings, who produced it, says that it was not made for money because it’s bigger and better than money.
He also said that this was my dream project to celebrate the life of his father, Captain Stanley Monk, who was a man of great search and many achievements. It is noteworthy that the whiskey also came up for auction on his birthday.
The highlight of this bottle is the pictures of the 11 leading pioneer researchers featured in it. They include Sir Ranulph Fiennes, Jamie Ramsay and Karen Darke. They include Marie Curie and the Campaign Against Living Miserably.
And as Daniel Monk says, from the beginning this work was like an adventure. We completed this task jointly by recruiting people to do this work during the Lockdown period. Last year the bottle was listed in the Guinness Book of World Records as the world’s largest whiskey bottle. “We initially thought it would sell for 1.5 million euros,” he said.
