/ A source in the North Oil Company, owned by the federal government, revealed on Friday that trial pumping had begun in the Iraqi-Turkish line for the purpose of determining the integrity of the pipeline and the absence of any leaks or breaks in it and preparing it in general for the purpose of resuming oil exports through the line extending from Kirkuk to the Turkish port of Ceyhan. .

The source told Agency, “The North Oil Company, within the instructions of the Iraqi Ministry of Oil, is working to prepare the Iraqi-Turkish line extending from the Kirkuk oil fields to the Turkish port of Ceyhan.”

He added, “The rehabilitation of the Iraqi-Turkish oil pipeline and the IT1A pumping station was carried out through self-efforts by the staff of the North Oil Company, as it was operated experimentally, in addition to the rehabilitation of the Iraqi-Turkish oil pipeline, which is 350 km long and has a diameter of (46, 40) knots, with great efforts.” Staff of oil companies (Northern Oil Company and Oil Lines Company).”

The source explained, “The pumping process in the (IT1A) route, the Iraqi-Turkish line, was within the Iraqi borders and within the work of the North Oil Company and did not reach within the Turkish borders.”

An informed source had told Agency, “The North Oil Company completed the process of repairing the Iraqi-Turkish line after it was sabotaged by ISIS members, as the work included repairing the damaged parts, specifically between the governorates of Kirkuk, Salah al-Din, and Nineveh.”

He pointed out that “the North Oil Company worked over the past months to replace the damaged parts by the Oil Lines Department, which contributed to the work and completed the complete repair of the pipeline, and it is now ready to transport any quantity determined by the Iraqi Ministry of Oil for the purpose of resuming the export of crude oil from the Kirkuk fields to the port.” Jihan Al-Turki.

The source explained, “The current production of the North Oil Company amounts to 350 thousand barrels per day, of which 10 thousand barrels are allocated for export to Jordan and up to 100 thousand barrels for local filtering and refining units in the refineries, and some private refineries in Erbil and Sulaymaniyah are also being equipped with quantities specified by the Ministry of Oil.” “For the purpose of refining and producing gasoline and other petroleum derivatives.”

The source in the North Oil Company confirmed, “The operation of electrical power to the station through the mobile station, as well as the trial operation of the main electric motors, in addition to delivering electricity to the station sites.”
