Serious rape allegations against Combs, who defends himself vehemently: “I will fight for my name, my family and for the truth.”

US rapper and record producer Sean Combs, 54, faces another civil lawsuit alleging rape and abuse. An unnamed woman filed the lawsuit in a New York court.

In it, she accuses Combs and two other men of, among other things, being raped in the rapper’s New York studio. She was given alcohol and drugs. At the time in 2003 she was only 17 years old.

Combs firmly denied the allegations in a statement. “Enough is enough,” the rapper wrote in a statement available to the German Press Agency. In recent weeks, “disgusting allegations” have been made with the aim of getting money. These people tried to destroy his reputation. He wanted to “make it absolutely clear” that he had not done any of these “horrible things.” “I will fight for my name, my family and for the truth,” it continued.

Three women had previously filed civil lawsuits alleging sexual violence against Combs, including his ex-girlfriend, the singer Cassie. Combs quickly agreed to a settlement with Cassie in mid-November. The plaintiff had accused the musician of, among other things, sexual abuse, rape, intimidation and physical violence during their years-long relationship. Details of the terms of the settlement were not disclosed.

Combs (“Bad Boy for Life”, “I’ll Be Missing You”), who also works as a record producer, actor and businessman, is one of the most successful representatives of the hip-hop industry. At the MTV Video Music Awards in September, Combs was honored with the Global Icon Award for his pioneering and influential career.
