Destiny cruelly struck Guinea by removing from our nation the Honorable Elhadj Ibrahima Sory Touré, a man whose existence was dedicated to the service of his country. Former Minister of Fisheries and Aquaculture, former member of the National Assembly, he breathed his last in Paris on Saturday February 10, 2024. This immeasurable loss particularly resonates in Grand Moriah, founded by his ancestor Fodé Katibi Touré , adding a poignant dimension to this tragedy. The Honorable Touré leaves behind an exceptional legacy, having risen through the ranks of the Guinean public administration with dedication and served his country with unwavering loyalty.
The weight of the loss of the Honorable Ibrahima Sory Touré is painfully felt, and my thoughts go first of all to his brave wife Hadja Marie, the maestro of his life on his own terms, the one who shared his journey for several decades. His unwavering support and essential role in the vie of her late husband deserve special recognition in these difficult times. My thoughts and prayers also extend to his children, who now bear the burden of the loss of their beloved father. May their inner strength be their guide in these moments of sadness, and may the memory of their father inspire them to perpetuate his remarkable legacy.
The Honorable Touré, affectionately called Alain, goes well beyond the simple political role. He stands out for his ardent plea in favor of national unity, embodying the qualities of an exceptional mediator and a great unifier. His political career, marked by unwavering loyalty to his friend Cellou Dalein Diallo and his commitment to the UFDG, testifies to his passionate dedication to a cause devoid of ethnic considerations, thus contributing to a united Guinea under the banner of citizenship. everything short. Students from Moriah met at his home or at his office without any form of protocol, always greeted with a smile before leaving satisfied. The Honorable Touré, like an architect of social well-being, played a considerable role in the creation of basic infrastructures in Forécariaand in its surrounding sub-prefectures.
