Tribute to Mexicans who will go to Paris 2024 with murals on Periférico Norte

The Government of Mexico City held a tribute to the Mexican athletes who will participate in the next Paris 2024 Olympic Games.

The above, with 35 artistic murals that were painted along Periférico Norte.

It was the Secretariat of Public Works and Services of Mexico City (Sobse), through the General Directorate of Urban Services and Sustainability, who was in charge of these murals with the participation of 40 artists and 60 employees of the agency.

The murals, with the faces of some of the athletes who will be attending the Olympic Games, are located under the bridges of Calzada Legaria, Avenida Ejército Nacional and Conscripto in the Miguel Hidalgo municipality.

According to Sobse, these artistic murals capture the essence and diversity of the Olympic disciplines; they also reaffirm the commitment of the capital’s government to urban art and the promotion of sport.

The Paris 2024 Olympic Games will officially begin next Friday, July 26, with the opening ceremony.

In about three weeks, Mexicans will be looking for an Olympic medal in different disciplines such as archery, diving, taekwondo, artistic gymnastics, artistic swimming, boxing, cycling, among others.
