– We want to thank you for all the greetings and support we have received so far from acquaintances, friends, and fans regarding our beloved, irreplaceable dad’s passing, they write on Facebook.

VG’s music reviewer Tor Martin Bøe says that Müller has meant a lot for Norwegian music and culture.
– Bjørn Müller was in many ways Norwegian rock summarized in one person. A two-meter tall pole on stage, who breathed rock and punk around the clock, says Bøe.
– He leaves after more than 40 years in the business, where his band Backstreet Girls is at their very best, especially after a particularly successful documentary that has taken them to a whole new level of popularity. An impressive force that will be missed.
– They don’t make people like Bjørn Müller anymore.
Ketil Sveen is the managing director of the record company Voices Music & Entertainment, which has released Backstreet Girls’ records for the last 15 years.
– I knew Bjørn as an incredibly positive person. This applies to both him and Petter. If you had an agreed meeting with them at nine in the morning, they were there nine sharp, and they were on it. Never any nonsense. Extremely easy to work with, Sveen tells VG.
– And I just think back to all the times I’ve hung backstage with them, been at the bar with them, and how much fun it is to be with them.
– R.I.P. old rocker
Sveen reports that they have recently been working on a box set with Backstreet Girls.
– I am very glad we got to do that. But it is very, very sad that Bjørn will not experience it.
– It’s sad to hear that Bjørn has died. A cool guy who was always nice to meet. Full of humor and attitude. R.I.P. old rocker, writes Raga Rockers vocalist Michael Krohn on Raga’s Facebook page.
Petter Taranger, best known as “Petter Pogo” and bassist in Jokke & Valentinerne, is among those who have expressed their condolences on social media.
– For me, he was a very positive guy who was always nice. There was laughter and fun, and a lot of partying, and he was a damn tough vocalist. He stood up and did his part. I will miss him, Pogo tells VG.
Alex Rosén has also expressed his condolences:
– RIP legend Bjørn Müller. I’ve known you since the 80s. Vocalist and front figure in Backstreet Girls. Rest in peace old friend.
VG commentator Anders Giæver started as a music journalist in the 80s, and closely
– He was one of Norway’s hardest-working rock musicians and songwriters. He was someone who always gave everything for the audience and never compromised, says Giæver.
