Trichy to Experience Power Supply Disruption for Maintenance Work

Trichy, Tamil Nadu – In order to facilitate monthly maintenance work at the Trichy 110 KV substation, a power supply disruption is expected tomorrow (16.09.2023) (Saturday) in various areas of the city. The Central Bus Stand, V.U.C. Road will receive power supply from this substation during the maintenance period.

The areas affected by this power outage include Collector Office Road, Raja Colony, Kumhilthoppu, Kallangadu, Periyamilaku Pehi, Junction Areas, Williams Road, Royal Road, Kanditheru, Convent Road, Birds Road, Bharatiyar Road, Melapudur, Gudchet Road, Pudukottai Road, Junction Railway Flyover Area, Jennyplaza Area, Head Post Office Area, Mudaliar Chatram, Kajapettai Area, Vrayyur Areas Mettutheru, Kalnayakan Street, Walajabazar, Pandamangalam, Vayalur Road, Canarabank Colony, Kumaran Nagar, Syndicate Bank Colony, Bankers Colony, Srinivasa Nagar, Ramalinga Nagar, South North, Geetha Nagar, Ammaiyappa Pillai Nagar, MM Nagar, Shanmukha Nagar, Renga Nagar, Uyyakondan Thirumalai, Kodapu, Vasan Nagar, Cholanganallur, Varayur Vekkaliayamman Temple Area, Fatima Nagar, Kurumani Road, Nachiyar Temple, Ponnagarh, and both sides of Karumandapam. Residents in these areas are advised to make alternative arrangements during the power outage period.

Pa. Shanmugasundaram, the Executive Engineer of Tamil Nadu Power Generation and Distribution Corporation, Trichy City Operation and Maintenance, confirmed that there will be no power supply in Thiran Nagar, Pratiyur, and Ramji Nagar areas from 09:45 AM to 04:00 PM on Saturday.

The maintenance work is crucial for ensuring the efficient functioning of the substation and to prevent any potential issues in the power distribution system. The cooperation of the residents is appreciated as the authorities work towards providing a reliable and uninterrupted power supply for the entire city.
