São Paulo exercised the option to purchase defender Nahuel Ferraresi, who was on loan to the club from Manchester City (ING) until the end of last season, and signed a new permanent contract until December 31, 2027.
The defender arrived at Tricolor in 2022, after defending Estoril (POR), and played ten games for the São Paulo team in the final stretch of that season.
In 2023, when he was experiencing his best moment for São Paulo, the player suffered a ligament injury to his knee during the Campeonato Paulista dispute and had to undergo surgery.
During the recovery period, Tricolor extended the loan contract until the end of the year, as the one in force at the time was valid until June 30, 2023.
After recovering from his injury, Ferraresi was called up to defend the Venezuelan team in the World Cup qualifiers and, on October 29, he entered the clash with Athletico Paranaense (1 x 1) for the Brasileirão.
