This Wednesday afternoon (18), São Paulo receives Bahia in dispute for the third round of the Brazilian Sub-17 Championship. Tricolor plays in Cotia at 3 pm, a game with free admission for fans and broadcast by SPFC Play.
The team started the national dispute very well, with two wins in two matches, and leads group B. In the debut, they turned and thrashed Goiás: 5 to 1. In the first match away from home, against Grêmio, in Rio Grande do Sul, another great performance and 3-0 on the scoreboard. Striker Ryan Francisco, with five goals, is the competition’s top scorer.
The game against Bahia will be the first at home in this competition – despite playing at home, Tricolor faced Goiás in Osasco, as the pitch at the Cotia stadium was undergoing renovations.
The Brasileiro Sub-17 is disputed by 20 clubs, distributed in two keys of ten teams. Teams play against each other within the group, in a single shift, and the top four advance to the quarterfinals. São Paulo are in group B alongside Palmeiras, Athletico-PR, Fortaleza, Santos, Grêmio, Atlético-GO, Bahia, Cruzeiro and Goiás.
