BOLZANO. The fifty-year-old who on 8 March last year, in Varna, attacked his ex-partner, who was saved by the intervention of his son, was sentenced to four years for attempted murder. The judge decided it Emilio Schoensbergwhich also provided a compensation for damages of 15 thousand euros in favor of the woman who was a civil party at the trial.
Prosecutor Axel Bisignano had asked for an eight-year sentence.
The sentence was reduced by a third due to the abbreviated procedure but, if the accused decides to abandon the appeal, he could benefit from a further discount of one sixth. The reasons are expected in 90 days.
On the evening of March 8, 2023, the man showed up at his ex-partner’s house in Varna and attacked her.
What saved the woman was the intervention of her eldest son. According to her accusation, the man would have hit her ex-partner with his fists in her face and then would have put his hands around her neck in an attempt to suffocate her: hence the accusation of attempted homocide.
