BOLZANO. A 28-year-old from Bolzano with several criminal records was reported for possession of drugs and resisting a public official. Yesterday evening (Sunday 22 December) a patrol from the Police Flying Squad intervened in the area of the Bolzano Cathedral, after a report from a citizen concerned about the presence of a young man wandering around in
suspicious attitude wandering apparently in a state of confusion.
The police stopped the young man who showed a hostile attitude and a clear state of psycho-physical alteration. When asked by the officers to provide his personal details, the man responded in a vague and evasive way, showing impatience.
Taken to the police station, believing he could take advantage of the agents’ distraction, he attempted to get rid of a wrapper, which was promptly recovered by the police and found to contain cocaine.
The man, therefore, despite having provided the officers with false personal details, was identified as a 28-year-old from Bolzano with various criminal records against him: he was reported in a state of freedom to the Public Prosecutor’s Office for the crimes of resistance to a Public Official, possession of narcotics and false attestations about one’s personal identity.
The Police Commissioner of Bolzano Paolo Sartori has issued an Oral Public Safety Notice.
