Tripoli.. Completion of the sports hall and 9 new playgrounds

This morning, a meeting was held at the Cabinet Office “to follow up on the directives of the Prime Minister of the Government of National Unity, Abdul Hamid Dabaiba, to complete the Tripoli Sports Hall, which is being implemented by the Educational Facilities Authority after work on it stopped since 2010, so that it will be an Olympic Games Hall for sports that do not have specialized fields in Libya, the most important of which is the establishment of an Olympic swimming pool and a hall for individual games.”

It was agreed during Meeting To “form a working team from the Olympic Committee, the Ministry of Sports, and the School Activities Administration, to approve the required sports facilities in the hall, and complete the implementation work through the Administrative Centers Development and Development Authority to make it an Olympic sports facility.”

The meeting also witnessed “the emphasis on completing 9 stadiums according to the specifications of the African Football Confederation, to be implemented through the Projects Department at the Ministry of Sports and the Administrative Centers Development Authority, the most important of which is the opening of the large stadium in the city of Al-Bayda at the end of September, and completing the ongoing work on the stadiums of Al-Aziziyah, Misurata, Al-Ajilat, Tarhuna, Tajoura and Al-Khums to be approved stadiums, in addition to completing the sports hall in the city of Al-Marj, the Gulf of Sirte Sports Hall in the city of Sirte, and the Yafran Sports Hall.”

It was agreed to “unify efforts between the Ministry of Sports, the Administrative Centers Development Authority, and the Olympic Committee with the aim of caring for all sports by developing their infrastructure.”

The meeting was attended by the Minister of Sports, Abdul Shafi Al-Juwaifi, the Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs, Adel Jumaa, the Undersecretaries of the Ministry of Sports and the Chairman of the Olympic Committee, Jamal Al-Zarouk, the Director General of the Administrative Centers Development and Development Authority, Ibrahim Takita, a number of department directors at the Ministry of Sports, and the Director of the Projects Department at the Educational Facilities Authority.
