Tripura Election 2023 | Along with Tripura; Will CPM come to power?

In the Tripura assembly elections, the counting of votes is in two hours. When the information is finally available, the BJP alliance is ahead in 25 seats. The CPM-Congress alliance is leading in 21 seats. Tipra Motha leading in 12 seats, the election result in Tripura is decisive. Trinamool Congress is leading in one seat. Elections were held for 60 seats in Tripura. 31 seats are required for an absolute majority in Tripura.

Everyone is looking forward to see if the CPM, which lost power last time, will regain power this time. What is to be known is whether the CPM will join forces with Tipra Motha. Since the counting of votes started, the trend in Tripura was that the results were changing. At one stage, the CPM alliance had won up to 24 seats. But later the BJP alliance made a strong comeback and won the lead in 32 seats by crossing the absolute majority. After that the BJP alliance was going backwards again.

259 candidates contested. Chief Minister Manik Saha had responded that BJP will win in Tripura and win more seats. Jitendra Chaudhary, the chief ministerial candidate of the Left-Congress alliance, responded to News18 saying that the change of government is expected.

81 percent polling was recorded in Tripura’s 60-member Legislative Assembly. An absolute majority of 31 seats must be secured to secure the government. In Tripura, the exit polls predicted a huge victory for the BJP alliance and a heavy defeat for the CPM-Congress alliance.
