Citing an example, Indranil Sengupta said, “For example, players are trolled. Virat is playing! Forget cricket! The same happens with actors. But I cannot tell any doctor that you are not being treated. But the doctor will say rightly, you are not acting. It is our ‘unfortunate’ profession. Anyone in the world can tell us everything! But we can’t say anything. It is not thought that acting is a special profession. Nobody understands how difficult it is to sit in front of the camera and talk. However, people think it’s their right to talk about performers.”
Indranil does not like to interact with viewers on social media. Referring to that, he said, “I don’t use social media. Active on Instagram, love to post pictures there. But not to react. I don’t like to say ‘fan’, I like to say ‘spectator’. Do not interact with those visitors. I don’t think it’s my duty. I don’t see the reactions that come from watching movie trailers or movies.
