Entrepreneur Roman Trotsenko announced his readiness to provide financing to the company “SDS-Ugol” Mikhail Fedyaev, who was arrested in the case of the tragedy at the Listvyazhnaya mine in the Kemerovo region, as a result of which 51 people died.
“We are partnering with the SDS group regarding the Kemerovo Azot. I know Fedyaev as a responsible person who never put money above the value of human life, ”Trotsenko told RBC on the sidelines of the congress of the Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs (RSPP).
Trotsenko said that Fedyaev was “incredibly worried” about the accident at the Listvyazhnaya mine. So far, there is no talk about providing financing or a credit line, but if necessary, Trotsenko will do it, the businessman emphasized.
Fedyaev, the main owner and chairman of the board of directors of SDS-Ugol, owns 95% of the SDS holding, which owns SDS-Ugol. According to the newspaper, Roman Trotsenko became the owner of a stake in Kemerovo Azot in 2016, and a year later bought the entire SDS Azot from the SDS holding, which owns 100% of the Kemerovo Azot and the Angarsk nitrogen-fertilizer plant in the Irkutsk region.
“But in the same year, according to Interfax, Fedyaev’s Azot Invest received 40% of SDS Azot. Azot Invest’s share in SDS Azot was pledged to Gazprombank. Trotsenko confirmed that the SDS group owns 40% of SDS Azot, “the newspaper reports.
The main owner of SDS-coal, Mikhail Fedyaev, who was detained by the investigation in the case of a methane explosion at the Listvyazhnaya mine, may be sentenced to up to 7 years in prison, Dmitry Gorbunov, partner of Rustam Kurmaev and Partners, told Vedomosti earlier. This is the maximum term under Part 3 of Art. 217 of the Criminal Code (CC) “Violation of the industrial safety requirements of hazardous production facilities, resulting in the death of two or more persons by negligence”, which is incriminated to Fedyaev. He is also charged with another article of the Criminal Code – Part 2 of Art. 201 (abuse of authority in a commercial organization, resulting in grave consequences). It faces up to 10 years in prison, an alternative: forced labor for up to 5 years or a fine of up to 1 million rubles.
In addition, if the guilt of the personnel is established, according to Gorbunov, the company will be obliged to compensate the material and moral damage to the victims.
As reported by the Investigative Committee, the general director of SDS-coal Gennady Alekseev, the technical director of the company Anton Yakutov and the chief engineer of LLC Shakhta Listvyazhnaya Anatoly Lobanov were also detained. Earlier, other employees of SDS-Ugol were detained, including the director of the Listvyazhnaya mine, Sergei Makhrakov, and officials of the Siberian Department of Rostekhnadzor.
The Trotsenko AEON corporation includes the Novaport airport holding, SDS-Azot, a chemical manufacturer, enterprises related to river transport, including the Moscow River Shipping Company, and a development company.
