A truck carrying a load of hundreds of live chickens overturned in the west zone of Rio. The accident happened on one of the access roads to the Yellow line, close to the communities of Gardênia Azul and Cidade de Deus.
According to information from Record TV Rio, part of the chickens was taken by people. To the report, the driver said he tried to dodge a motorcyclist and ended up falling.
The vehicle was carrying a load of birds that would be taken to a warehouse near the accident site.
Carrier employees tried to rescue the animals and Military Police agents went to the scene to try to prevent the looting of the cargo.
Still according to Record TV Riothe Fire Department was also called to check for possible fuel leakage.
