Trucks positioned in several roundabouts this Monday – All the news from Martinique on the Internet

by time news

Almost no roadblock this Monday morning (December 6), despite the fears of the population. Traffic is rather fluid on the roads of the island.

Even if, here and there, without any real call to do so, router trucks and transporter trucks have started to position themselves. This is particularly the case at the Carrère and Champigny roundabouts where traffic is partially hampered.

The Lézarde bridge (at Lamentin) was not yet blocked this morning, around 8am. At the California level, carriers positioned without blocking. The accesses of the Sara are free (several trucks were able to go out to replenish the pumps).

At the Pointe des Grives also, the accesses are free and containers were able to leave. The banana has been loaded.

Continuation of negotiations

For the record, the mediation ordered by the court (France-Antilles of the day) between the intersyndicale and the Grand Port Maritime de Martinique (GPMM) still continues until Tuesday. It is a matter of finding a concerted solution to free access to the port. The unions demand the presence of state services.

Also this morning, at 10 am, the health workshop must resume its work. Last week, the intersyndicale had indicated that the State had committed to postpone the vaccination obligation to December 31.

In a statement released at the end of the week, the prefecture specifies, “that unvaccinated caregivers are invited to enter the vaccination process by December 31 (1st dose)”. And, that “from Monday, December 6, the administrations in charge of monitoring the professionals concerned by the vaccination obligation will turn to them in order to know their vaccination status and offer them an individual approach of listening, dialogue, ‘information and support’.

This morning, the public transport services gradually resumed, the TCSP was operating in the morning.
