Oran Ruth, the eldest son of Ryan Weschler Ruth (58), who was arrested for attempting to assassinate former US President Donald Trump, the Republican presidential candidate, claimed, “My father is not a person who would do something like that.”

Oran told CNN on the 15th (local time), “My father was a loving, caring, honest and honest person.”

“I don’t know what happened, but from what I’ve heard, this is far removed from the father I knew,” he continued. “My father is not the type of person who would do something crazy or violent.”

Ruth, who is considered a prime suspect in the assassination attempt on former President Trump, was identified as a person who supported Ukraine, which was at war with Russia.

According to the Associated Press that day, Ryan Wechsler Ruth lived most of his life in North Carolina. He moved to Hawaii in 2018. According to his business webpage, he and his son run a company that builds workshops and the like.

Ruth frequently posts about the war in Ukraine on social media, and has even used her website to raise money and recruit volunteers to travel to Kiev to fight against Russia.

CNN said that suspect Ruth often posts photos of himself smiling while wearing a T-shirt and jacket with an American flag, and that he was a former Trump supporter. In 2020, he even posted a message on his X page asking the former president to “order the Justice Department to prosecute the police so that you can get reelected.”

Recently, it has been reported that he has expressed his disappointment with former President Trump and supported President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris. After the assassination attempt on former President Trump in July, Ruth wrote to President Biden and Vice President Harris to visit the injured who attended the rally and attend the funeral of the deceased firefighter.

Earlier, at around 2:00 p.m. on that day, a shooting occurred near a golf club owned by former President Trump in West Palm Beach, Florida, USA. At the time, former President Trump was playing golf, and a Secret Service agent who was checking the security of the golf course found the gun barrel sticking out of the fence and bushes of the golf course and fired.

Ruth, who was identified as the suspect, fled in a vehicle but was arrested. Martin County Sheriff William D. Snyder told WPTV that the suspect “wasn’t asked any questions when he was arrested, like ‘What’s going on?’ He seemed relatively calm and his expression barely changed.”
