Trump: I did not flush White House documents down the toilet

Trump administration officials have found remnants of printed papers clogging the White House toilet on several occasions during the presidency of former President Donald Trump. They claim Trump is the one who flushed the documents down the toilet

Former President Donald Trump denies a report that he flushed White House documents when he was president. “Another fake story, that I flushed papers and documents down the toilet at the White House, the news is completely untrue, just one reporter invented it to get publicity for a largely fictional book,” Trump said in a statement.

Trump’s statement was in response to a forthcoming book by New York Times reporter Maggie the bartender, who writes about the alleged incidents. “Here are some reports from the book, the White House staff periodically found papers that clogged the toilet, which led the team to believe that Trump had washed papers that had torn to pieces,” the bartender tweeted.

Bloomberg News’ Jennifer Jacobs confirmed the bartender’s report on Thursday, calling it “100% accurate,” and White House staff found “papers / torn / shredded” flushed down the toilet.

She further wrote in her book that Trump continued to correspond with North Korean leader Kim Jong-un even after he left office.

In addition, the National Archives reported that he seized 15 boxes of documents that Trump had improperly brought with him to Mar-a-Lago in Florida upon completion of his term. The National Archives has now asked the Ministry of Justice to open an investigation into the matter after finding documents from those 15 boxes that may be classified. Trump has denied that he stole or took anything from the White House illegally.
