In a lengthy statement issued by Trump, he attacks the investigations against him, demanding that those investigating the coup attempt also investigate the “election fraud” in the various countries that the former president claimed occurred in the 2020 election.

“Why is the most partisan committee not investigating the cause of the events of January 6? Which is the 2020 election scam. They are trying to stay away from it because the numbers are not working in their favor.” As you may recall, Trump claimed throughout the post-election period and continues to claim that he actually won, and that the election was stolen from him amid scams in various countries, allegations that were completely refuted, when Trump failed to prove his claims in any way.

Trump announced that “I will hold a press conference on January 6 and discuss these issues and more. Until then, remember that the coup took place on November 3 (election night).”

Recall, on January 6, 2021, after a belligerent speech by Trump claiming that his election had been stolen, a crowd of thousands of his supporters marched towards the Capitol building, took control of it, wreaked havoc, killing 5 people. Following the events, Trump suffered another impeachment attempt, from which he survived a few days before ending his term.
