Trump is suing CNN for a whopping $475 million

by time news

The former President of the United States, Donald Trump, announced through his lawyers yesterday (Monday) that he has decided to sue the media network CNN, alleging that it defamed him and sabotaged his election campaign.

Trump is suing the media network for a huge sum of 475 million dollars for the damages, which he claims he suffered and for punitive damages that Trump is asking to be awarded to CNN.

In the lawsuit, filed in the District Court in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, it is claimed that the media network harmed Trump’s election campaign with relentless harassment and “terrible defamation”.

The American netizens had time to respond en masse to the story, with some supporting Trump’s lawsuit and some against, while those who opposed even underestimated Trump’s motives for filing the lawsuit and laughed at him.

“Trump is demanding half a billion dollars because they hurt his feelings,” wrote one of the surfers disdainfully. “He’s running for president again so he needs a budget,” another surfer wrote. On the other hand, there were those who supported Trump, “I hope you win” responded one of them. “They deserve it,” wrote another surfer, referring to the CNN network.
