Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump has said he is prepared to declassify materials from the investigation into the assassination attempt on him if he wins the presidential election.
As reported by Day.Az, his words were quoted by the Fox News channel.
The TV host reminded the former head of the White House that if he is re-elected, he will have the opportunity to declassify the materials of the investigation into the assassination attempt. He asked Trump whether he would take such a step.
“Of course. There is nothing to hide here,” the presidential candidate replied.
According to Trump, many details of the assassination attempt are already known to investigators. He called some of these details “not good.” The former US president asked questions about how the person who shot him could have ended up on the roof and why the relevant services were not informed about him.
Trump also said that after the assassination attempt they wanted to put him on a stretcher, but he refused.
