Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump has rejected a challenge from his Democratic rival Kamala Harris for a new debate before the November 5 deadline.

In response to his rival’s call for a new debate on CNN on October 23, Trump responded during a campaign rally in North Carolina, “It’s too late to have another debate.
“The voting has begun,” he said, referring to early voting that began in three states on Friday: Virginia, Minnesota and South Dakota.
Harris’ campaign team said in a statement that “the Vice President is ready to face Donald Trump again on stage.”
By most accounts, Harris dominated the previous debate on September 10, focusing on the topics that would most affect Trump’s ego, such as those related to the discontent of his former political allies, and his international reputation…
However, that did not prevent Trump from asserting that he was the “winner” of that debate, attacking the bias of the two journalists who moderated the debate on ABC.
Trump said that day that “there will be no third debate,” referring to the televised debate in which he faced President Joe Biden when he was a candidate for the elections in June, and to the debate with the vice president.
A few weeks after the debate, in which the Democratic president gave a disastrous performance, Biden announced his withdrawal from the electoral race in favor of his vice president, Harris.
